January 2012
Imperial Retics 3rd clutch in January! This time the behemoth that is "Big Bessie" x original Lavender Albino male. This is a repeat breeding from the same, very successful pairing of 2010/2011 which gave us some of the best hets, Tiger hets, Albinos and Albino Tigers we have ever hatched.
Bessie has Purple Albino parentage and always throws a high proportion of Purple Albinos and Purple Albino Tigers.
These babies will mature into VERY large adults and are a must have for fans of the mainland sized Reticulated Python.
January has started off great here at Imperial Retics - 2nd clutch in a week!
This time our big Ivory girl is laying ...... She was bred to the Honeyblast and also an Albino Motley - whoever the sire, we will have some very cutting edge retic morphs for you in 3 months !
Watch this space!!
Great start to the new year! A good clutch of very large eggs from my biggest White Phase female.
She was bred to 3 different males;
A Genetic Striped
A Lavender Albino
and a Lavender Motley
We will keep you posted on the parentage as soon as we find out.

December 2011
Breeding season is in full swing at Imperial Retics! A couple of days after Christmas, eggs were laid from our Genetic striped x Tiger het genetic striped pairing - 22 viable and just 2 slugs.
There have been numerous other locks and ovulations and a couple of our biggest girls (The mighty "Big Bessie" and our largest white phase albino) have been belly up ! Expect some mammoth clutches in 2012 !
We hope all friends and clients of Imperial Retics have a really great festive season!
All the very best, James and Sarah

November 2011
The 2011/12 breeding season is beginning to look like the best yet at Imperial Retics!
We have several females in pre-lay shed as I write, a couple of others ovulating and many pairs still breeding.
Some of these breedings will be UK, European and world wide firsts!
Few pics of some of the action, including a genetic striped x tiger het genetic striped, Foulsham caramel x het Foulsham caramel, Foulsham caramel x white albino tiger, Golden child het albino x albino tiger and the honeyblast x platinum tiger!
Will have lots of new and exciting morph retics for the discerning collector / breeder later in the year so please check back often

September 2011
Has been a hectic couple of months at Imperial Retics! Last of the 2010/2011 hatchlings have now gone to their new homes and we have been expanding the breeding collection quite intensively - we have added the following this year:
Sunfires 2.1 (from a completely new Indonesian bloodline), Ivory 1.0, Supertiger sunfire het albino 0.1, Caramel (Foulsham line) 1.0 and an Albino motley 0.1 .......... We held back 5 of the het honeyblast babies aswell and hope to make some visual honeyblasts, caramels and with any luck, honeyblast caramels in the next few years!!
In the meantime, the breeding season has well and truly kicked off here - first lock I observed was a caramel x het caramel!
Keep checking back and we will have more news for you as it happens! |
May 2011
The much anticipated "Big Bessie" clutch has finally hatched and I can confirm that it was my Lavender Albino male that sired the breeding.
I anticipate that these will be some of the biggest retics the UK has ever seen; Bessie is a 20' colossus and the male is 15' at 9 years old. These babies are the largest I have ever hatched and they have huge genetics behind them.
There are some stunning tiger hets, albinos, hets and albino tigers in this batch. Please check out the "Available" page as I will be adding snakes imminently.

March 2011
Some very exciting news here at Imperial Retics!
We have just proven out our very unusual WC male (pictured) to be a completely different bloodline/morph from any other T+ or T- albino retic on the market! (This includes the Foulsham T+/Caramel, the American blonde line, the Clark strain of albino and the Type 2 albino/amel)!
Visually, he is very different to even the beautiful Foulsham T+. He has much more caramel/toffee colouration on his markings and a rich cream base colour, in the flesh he resembles somewhere between Ben Renick's amazing ghost retic and Peter's T+ line! One of the most beautiful snakes we have here without doubt.
To differentiate between this new, incompatible bloodline and the other T+ and T- snakes available on the market today, this morph has been christened "Honeyblast" (name created by my wife).
I have just hatched a very exciting clutch from this honeyblast male bred to a het caramel female - the offspring will be 100% het honeyblast and 50% het caramel and hold the key to a whole plethora of retic morphs in the future!
The honeyblast gene is completely untapped (we have the only animal in existence) and I can't remember being as excited about a project since I started keeping retics. Being a WC animal originally, he also brings genetic diversity to the retic genepool and some nice, fresh outcrossed blood.

May 2009
Another new addition and a morph that we are very excited about working with. Genetic Stripeds are one of the most spectacular retic morphs available and look totally different from everything else on the market. The irridescence on these animals is unreal
After 81 long days in the incubator......The first albino x albino hatchlings ever produced in the UK hatch at Imperial Retics! Some stunners in this clutch - reinforcing my belief that the Albino Reticulated Python is still the most beautiful retic morph in the world.

SEPTEMBER 2005
We've just added a nice pair of adult females to our breeding stock here
at Imperial Retics.
A 15 foot, 70lb, 100% het for albino
that was produced by Mike Wilbanks of Constrictors Unlimited
and a 16' Super Tiger that
is a proven breeder and was maintained by the guys at Monster
Cages. Both are top quality animals and I am really looking forward
to involving them in some breeding projects this season.
The 2005/06 breeding season should
be a very exciting one for us at Imperial Retics, We are hopeful
of producing the UK's first Albino, het for Albino and Tiger
het for Albino Retics. If everything goes to
plan we could have a very limited amount of Albino Tigers as
well! ( These would certainly be a UK first and perhaps even
a European
first!! )
We will keep you updated on developments via the site so please
check back often.
